Peter Egan stars as Sherlock Holmes in the West End (July 17, 2010)
Peter Egan is taking on the mantle of the world’s greatest detective, Sherlock Holmes, in London’s West End this summer.
He’s starring in The Secret of Sherlock Holmes at the Duchess Theatre from 15 July -11 September.
Peter’s toured in the play and received wonderful reviews. The Bristol Evening Post wrote: “Egan is the epitome of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s creation”.
In fact, it’s not the first time Peter has played Holmes. He starred in a stage version of The Hound of The Baskervilles a few years ago.
The Secret of Sherlock Holmes is a gripping exploration of the psychology of Holmes, and the British Theatre Guide described it as: “…an enticing and irresistible glimpse into the private world of fiction’s most bohemian of Bachelors.”
Peter is an extremely fine actor and was, I think, made for the role. The play is on for a strictly limited season, and here’s where you can book tickets.
